Embraer Reaches 2,000th Business Jet Delivery Milestone
Embraer Executive Jets’ milestone 2,000th aircraft was a midsize Praetor 500.

Embraer Executive Jets has reached a major milestone by delivering its 2,000th business jet to a customer. The midsize Praetor 500 was handed over to an undisclosed corporate flight department at the company’s global customer center in Melbourne, Florida.
In 2002, the manufacturer introduced its first executive aircraft, later named the large-cabin Legacy 600—a derivative of the Embraer ERJ-135 regional aircraft. It subsequently expanded the lineup with the upgraded Legacy 650, the Lineage 1000 business liner, the Phenom 100 and 300 light jets, and the fly-by-wire Legacy 450 and 500 midsize and super-midsize aircraft. In 2018, the company updated these offerings with the launch of the Praetor 500 and 600.
The company’s private jet division has achieved a compound annual growth rate of 14% since its first delivery 23 years ago.
“The delivery of our 2,000th business jet is more than just a milestone,” said Michael Amalfitano, president and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. “It is compelling evidence of the strength of our product portfolio, our unwavering commitment to customers, and the dedication of our employees, who take pride in building every aircraft. This milestone reinforces Embraer’s position as a global leader in business aviation and demonstrates the popularity of our Praetor family of aircraft, particularly among large corporate flight departments.”
