Aero Friedrichshafen Targets Further Private Aircraft Growth in 2027
Aero Friedrichshafen aims to expand business aviation’s presence at the annual industry event in 2027.

The organizers of the annual Aero Friedrichshafen show are now aiming to increase the presence of business aviation at next year’s event, which will take place from April 14 to 17. German group Fairnamic said that total attendance at the show reached 37,000 in April 2026, while it also featured more than 400 exhibitors and around 50 business aircraft in a dedicated static display.
According to Fairnamic, Aero is currently Europe’s largest business aviation exhibition. Interest and support from the industry may have increased following the cancellation of EBACE 2026, which was due to take place in Geneva earlier this month. Organizer EBAA has not yet said whether it intends to resume the show in 2027.
In addition to Fairnamic’s statement, aircraft orders worth around $500 million were confirmed at Aero 2026. These included a contract signed by Hamburg-based Platoon Aviation for the delivery of 16 twin-engine Cessna Citation Longitude aircraft.
At the 2027 show, space will again be allocated to business aviation exhibitors in Hall A1 of the Messe Friedrichshafen exhibition complex and in the domed structure adjoining the static display. These areas will be expanded for the business aviation section of the show, which will run from April 14 through April 16, followed by a public day on April 17.
“We are very pleased with the positive feedback and comments from customers, which helped us shape the concept of the show,” said Aero show director Tobias Bretzel. He noted that the further development of the business aviation exhibition center together with partners is a priority for his team.
