Bombardier Global 7500 Sets 75 Speed Records
The Bombardier Global 7500 fleet is approaching 200 aircraft and has logged more than 200,000 flight hours.

Bombardier reported that its Global 7500 has set 75 speed records. The announcement came as the ultra-long-range business jet category continues to set dozens of speed records while traveling around the world. Just last week, rival Gulfstream noted that the newest model in its portfolio, the G700, had already set 65 city-pair records.
Among the Global 7500’s latest achievements, it set city-pair records on flights between Tokyo and Hong Kong (3 hours 40 minutes), New Delhi and Tokyo (7 hours), and Los Angeles and Auckland (11 hours 55 minutes). Other record flights mentioned by Bombardier included Miami and São Paulo, Tokyo and Los Angeles, Tokyo and San Jose, and Jeddah and London.
These missions add to others planned by Bombardier for its flagship model, including an 8,225-nautical-mile flight in October 2019 from Sydney, Australia, to Detroit, Michigan—the longest flight recorded for a business aircraft, according to the company.
“What is even more impressive about these records is that they are achieved during routine aircraft operations, including some missions with passengers on board,” said Jean-Christophe Gallagher, executive vice president of aircraft sales and Bombardier Defense. “Time and again, we have been delighted to have our customers and prospective customers on board during record-setting flights.”
