Bombardier Opens New Interior Showroom at London Biggin Hill Airport
The Material Lounge has opened as part of Bombardier’s aircraft maintenance and repair center at the UK airport.

Bombardier and its aircraft interiors partner F/List have opened a facility at London Biggin Hill Airport to show customers the materials, fabrics and components used in Bombardier aircraft interiors. The new 700-sq.-ft. Material Lounge forms part of the Canadian company’s aircraft maintenance and repair center at the UK airport.
The Material Lounge contains the largest portfolio of cabin interior options among all Bombardier international service centers. The initiative also marks the first time that Austrian company F/List has showcased its range of materials, fabrics and components outside its headquarters.
The more than 1,300 samples available in the lounge include wood veneers, stone surfaces, leather, fabrics, braiding and metal finishes. Visitors can also view F/List’s latest portfolio of biomaterials, including F/Lab Whisper Leather, Linfinium and Aenigma products, developed to offer sustainable alternatives for business aircraft cabins.

“We are delighted to work with Bombardier on this project and pleased to provide our shared customers, Bombardier designers and our own interior experts with a private space where they can see, touch and explore an industry-leading collection of aircraft interiors in one place,” said F/List CEO Katharina List-Nagl. “This modern space is more than a showroom and sales tool: it is a place where we can help bring interior design concepts to life in a dedicated, inspiring environment. In addition to physical samples, visitors have access to a cabin configurator for visualizing layouts, material selections and design ideas.”
At its Biggin Hill facility, Bombardier performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications and avionics installations for Learjet, Challenger and Global aircraft. Following expansion work in 2022, the manufacturer replaced a pair of hangars totaling 91,000 sq. ft. with a new 250,000-sq.-ft. facility that can accommodate 14 Global 7500 aircraft simultaneously.
