Challenger 3500 Continues Latin American Tour at LABACE

Bombardier took part in LABACE 2026, Latin America’s largest business aviation exhibition, which was held from August 4 to 6 at Campo de Marte Airport in São Paulo. The main exhibit was the company’s bestseller, the Challenger 3500, one of the most sought-after aircraft in its class. The exhibition was part of an extensive tour covering ten cities in the region, including Monterrey, Santo Domingo, Asunción, Santiago, Lima, Guayaquil, Quito, Bogotá and Panama City. The company sent a significant portion of its commercial staff to the event.

Frank Vento, Bombardier’s Vice President of Sales for the United States and Latin America, emphasized that the Challenger 3500 had already proven its reliability and efficiency, while its participation in LABACE and the extensive tour clearly demonstrated the company’s commitment to the Brazilian and broader Latin American market.

The Challenger 3500 offers the lowest direct operating costs in its segment, a range of 3,400 nautical miles (about 6,300 km) and a maximum speed of Mach 0.83. These characteristics enable nonstop flights between São Paulo and Bogotá and between São Paulo and Panama City, as well as connecting Brazil with Dakar on Africa’s west coast. Its landing distance is 826 meters, which, combined with Campo de Marte’s 1,600-meter runway, makes the aircraft ideal for operations at this airfield.

To serve customers in the region, Bombardier recommends the authorized MAGA Aviation service center at Catarina Airport in São Paulo, which provides line and base maintenance, as well as spare parts and tooling for Global, Challenger and Learjet aircraft. In addition, customers have access to Bombardier’s own approximately 28,000-square-meter center at Miami-Opa Locka Airport (KOPF), which provides a full range of services and includes a paint shop. The company’s global support network comprises approximately 100 service stations worldwide.

LABACE visitors were able to take a closer look at the Challenger 3500 at stand SD25, where company specialists discussed its flight characteristics and innovative design.
