Cryptocurrency Payment Options Expand in Business Aviation
Operators cite speed, flexibility, and alignment with client requirements.

Business aviation service providers Sentient Jet and ACASS have introduced cryptocurrency payment options. These initiatives reflect growing demand from affluent clients for faster and more flexible ways to pay for private flight memberships and charter air services.
Sentient Jet has added a cryptocurrency payment option for Jet Card holders and new members through a partnership with BitPay, a blockchain-based payment system. Clients can pay for travel using selected cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and US dollar-backed stablecoins, while all transactions will be settled in US dollars.
At the same time, payment gateway Coinpayments has entered into a partnership with ACASS to introduce cryptocurrency payments for business aviation services, beginning with a European launch next month. Using Coinpayments’ invoicing system, ACASS clients booking charter flights will be able to conduct cryptocurrency transactions through secure payment links. The companies said the partnership addresses demand for faster processing of large payments, particularly for urgent and urgent charter flight bookings, where traditional fiat money transfers can create operational challenges.
Both initiatives point to a common factor: speed. Coinpayments said digital payments, including stablecoins, provide fast and seamless settlement compared with traditional methods, improving service levels for high-value aviation transactions. Coinpayments entered the aviation market in May through a partnership with Jetcraft, and the agreement with ACASS expands its presence in the market.
