Flexjet Acquires Its First G500, Expanding Gulfstream Fleet
The G500s will ultimately replace the fractional ownership operator’s 32 G450s currently in service.

Fractional jet operator Flexjet took delivery of its first Gulfstream G500 this week, expanding its Gulfstream fleet to 68 aircraft across four types: the G450, G500, G650 and G700. Overall, the operator’s fleet comprises more than 340 aircraft, with another 50 planned to be added this year.
Without disclosing the size of its G500 order, Flexjet noted that the new type will replace the 32 G450s currently in service. The company also continues to take delivery of ultra-long-range G700s, five of which are already in service. A company representative said that the 30 G650s in service will not be replaced by G700s because “the G650 remains a key product for us, and the program remains unchanged as we work toward achieving critical mass with the G700.”
The G500s will be operated under the Flexjet Red Label program, which offers a high level of personalization and service for fractional aircraft owners. The Red Label program provides access to a modern fleet of aircraft featuring luxury LXi Cabin Collection interiors and crews assigned to one specific aircraft/tail number. The crews also include flight attendants trained at the Flexjet Red Label Academy near London.
