Global 7500 Sets Speed Records
The Bombardier Global 7500 has set more than 50 speed records between city pairs in under 50 weeks.

Bombardier’s Global 7500 is rapidly setting speed records, surpassing 50 of them in less than 50 weeks. The ultra-long-range aircraft set flight-time records from Miami to São Paulo, Tokyo to Los Angeles, Jeddah to London, and London to Bahrain.
The 10 fastest new records had an average speed of more than 1,000 km/h, Bombardier reports. The Global 7500 has a maximum speed of Mach 0.925 (1,133 km/h), while the aircraft’s baseline range is 7,700 nautical miles (14,260 km). As the speed records accumulate, the operational fleet continues to expand. In total, the fleet has logged more than 180,000 hours.
Meanwhile, Bombardier continues work on an even faster model, the Global 8000, which can fly at Mach 0.94 (1,151 km/h). Announced in 2022, the Global 8000 will have a range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,816 km) and a cabin altitude of less than 2,900 feet when flying at FL410. The Montreal-based aircraft manufacturer plans to enter it into service in 2025.
