Gulfstream G700 Sets 65 City-Pair Flight Records

Gulfstream Aerospace’s flagship ultra-long-range G700 continues to set city-pair flight records, with the total now exceeding 65.

The latest record flights included a 7574 km trip from Savannah, Georgia, to Honolulu in 8 hours 52 minutes, using a sustainable aviation fuel blend and averaging Mach 0.90. The aircraft also flew 12050 km from Los Angeles to Sydney in 14 hours and 26 minutes. These records are awaiting official recognition by the U.S. National Aeronautic Association and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale in Switzerland.

The number of records continues to grow as Gulfstream showcases its newest certified model around the world. “Gulfstream continues to see significant interest in the G700 worldwide, and we are pleased to present it directly to our customers to demonstrate the aircraft’s capabilities,” said Gulfstream President Mark Burns.

Meanwhile, the G700 will appear next week at the Bahrain International Airshow, where it will be displayed alongside the venerable G500 through Friday. “Gulfstream continues to see strong demand in the Middle East, and interest in our next-generation fleet remains high,” said Scott Neal, Gulfstream senior vice president of worldwide sales. “The G700 and G500 each offer a combination of advanced technology, cabin comfort, and operational capabilities that continues to resonate with operators in the region.”

Following U.S. FAA certification in March, the twin-engine aircraft, with a range of 14350 km, received approval from EASA and nine other countries.
