Metrojet Introduces Asia’s First Global 8000
The ultra-long-range business jet has joined the fleet managed by the Hong Kong-based company.

Hong Kong-based Metrojet has added Asia’s first Bombardier Global 8000 to its fleet. “This milestone is a defining moment for Metrojet,” said Metrojet CEO Dave Yip. “The arrival of the Global 8000 demonstrates our ability to provide world-class solutions for managing the industry’s most complex aircraft. We are already seeing growing interest from other Bombardier aircraft owners, and given our well-established Bombardier maintenance capabilities, we are confident that we can provide them with the same level of quality and reliability that has long distinguished Metrojet.”
“The Global 8000 sets a new standard for capability and performance,” said Metrojet Director of Flight Operations Stuart Borg. “Successfully integrating such a technologically advanced aircraft into our fleet required precision, collaboration and a high level of expertise. I am immensely proud of our operations team, whose professionalism ensures that Metrojet continues to lead in safety and quality.”
In addition to aircraft management, Metrojet provides charter, maintenance and aviation consulting services. The company was founded in 1997 by the Kadoorie family, which also owns a controlling stake in The Peninsula Hotel Group. In 2012, Metrojet opened its second maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) base, Metrojet Engineering Clark, in the Philippines.
