Teal Group Forecasts Business Aviation Market Growth in 2025

The market for commercial, business and utility aircraft, as well as civil helicopters, will grow steadily through 2030, followed by a cyclical downturn.

Teal Group Forecasts Business Aviation Market Growth in 2025

Following a 12% increase in business aircraft billings in 2024, Teal Group expects the market to grow by 10% this year. However, in releasing its 10-year forecast in its World Military and Civil Aircraft Briefing, Teal predicted that the business aircraft market would level off—if not soften—over the next 10 years.

Teal forecasts deliveries of 10,693 business aircraft worth $273.50 billion from 2025 through 2034. This forecast is slightly lower—by one-tenth of a percentage point—than last year’s 10-year forecast.

According to Teal, 1,045 business aircraft worth $25.6 billion were delivered last year, up 3.2% by unit volume and 12.1% by revenue compared with 2023. This year, Teal forecasts a 5.8% increase in deliveries to 1,106 business aircraft, as well as a 10.1% rise in value to $28.19 billion.

Teal says last year’s results were constrained by the strike at Textron Aviation, but deliveries of new large-cabin business jets contributed to revenue growth.

The forecast also predicts 7,534 civil helicopter deliveries worth $53.54 billion through 2034, slightly better than last year’s forecast. In 2025, Teal expects deliveries of 796 civil helicopters, up 3.9% from 766 in 2024, while revenue will increase by 7% to $5.18 billion from $4.84 billion last year.

Overall, Teal forecasts that the market for commercial, business and utility aircraft, as well as civil helicopters, will grow steadily through 2030, followed by a cyclical downturn.
